Healthy and nutritious food   

The children enjoy breakfast, mid-morning and afternoon refreshments consisting of cereals, milk, juice, biscuits and fruit. 2 course seasonal lunches, which our chef prepares freshly on a daily basis, which include fresh vegetables and seasonal fruit. Afternoon teas consist of sandwiches with various fillings, soups, savouries and fresh fruit. All special dietary requirements are catered for.

At Risley Day Nursery, we believe that mealtimes should be social, happy times where skills can be developed and foods tasted!

Awards

The nursery is regularly inspected by the local authorities, to ensure we are meeting standards and adhering to the procedures given and we currently have the highest rating of 5 stars from Warrington Borough Council's Scores on the Doors Schemes for hygienic practices & premises and well-managed food prepared on the premises.  We have also been awarded  the  'Super Snacks' Award by NHS Oral Health Promotion Service for providing healthy snacks and drinks at snack time and the 'Brilliant Brushing' Award by NHS Oral Health Promotion Service.

Our highly qualified Chef freshly prepares and cooks every meal on site, using only the freshest ingredients, including fresh fruit and vegetables!  All of our meals are carefully planned to meet the individual needs and requirements of each child.  All seasonal menus are created by our Chef and Nursery Manager.  We have strict health and safety procedures and regularly audit the kitchen to ensure that these policies and procedure are being adhered to.
